Residential developments in the southern Costa del Sol have been finding ready buyers lately, and one development that is proving no exception to the rule is Aureus, a complex of 141 studios and two-bedroom apartments being built to the south of the prestigious Sotogrande area, near the largely undiscovered Torrenueva beach and within easy reach of many first-class golf courses and a host of other amenities.
This area is becoming very popular, being the location of the successful Santa Margarita and Alcaidesa developments. The Two-Bedroom Apartments
The homes in the Aureus development have been designed using a neo-classical theme, and the emphasis is on quality design and construction standards. There are five residential blocks within the development, four blocks housing the two-bedroom apartments, with the studio apartments all together in the remaining one. The studios have around 45 m2 of floor area and terraces varying between 12 and 32 m2. Sales have been very brisk since launch, with many of the units already sold, although there is still a limited selection left. They have proved particularly popular with young professionals employed in the Gibraltar finance centre, but are also ideal for short-term lettings, due to the increasing popularity of this part of the coast for holiday purposes Gibraltar, Malaga and Jerez airports can all be reached quickly from Aureus.
